Argumentative Essay Topics on Immigration - Illegal Aliens, Immigration Criminal History of Foreign Nationals
Argumentative Essay Topics on Immigration - Illegal Aliens, Immigration Criminal History of Foreign NationalsThe two primary argumentative essay topics on immigration are illegal aliens and crime. On the one hand, it may seem that the two are contradictory since an illegal alien is a person that has been convicted of a crime and someone that commit a crime is a person that has been convicted of a crime. To be sure, there are many lawful residents who have been here for years but who do not fall under the categories of being an unlawful presence or violating one's visa status. And so, they are not necessarily criminals. For this reason, the phrase 'illegal alien' should be used more with a cautionary approach. On the other hand, we do know that most immigrants have come to the United States because of the opportunities that are offered through the lure of America's immigration-related offenses. The point here is that we must ensure that we keep this part of our nation safe.If we take th e view that all people who come here in violation of the law are an illegal alien, we will never be able to address this issue effectively because it will prevent us from solving other issues associated with the illegal alien population. It would also appear that everyone who comes to the United States should be accorded the same protection as they apply for a visa because immigration law has a lot to say about the enforcement of the system. On the other hand, if we look at the positive side of this, we find that the authorities have, over the years, made a great deal of progress in keeping unauthorized persons out of the country. As a result, crime rates have fallen, since most people that are convicted of a crime do not enter the country. But the government is supposed to prioritize the enforcement of the law when it comes to the enforcement of the immigration laws and not the promotion of amnesty. This would be fair in terms of favor towards all the people who have broken our immig ration laws, including those who come here in violation of our laws. In fact, these people should be returned to their countries of origin once their case has been resolved.Yet another argumentative essay topics on immigration involves the criminal history of those coming to the United States. Obviously, when people who have been convicted of a crime to come to the United States, they should be removed from the country or deported. However, we must also ensure that foreigners coming to the United States have been tried of their crimes, and if they are not, we should ensure that the foreign nationals that are here have first been tried of their crimes in a court of law. Then we should have judicial systems that serve our national interests and not serve foreign interests.
